Parole nears for armed robber

The Lakewood man serving a 22-and-a-half-year prison term for sticking up a man in a motel room while armed with a 9 mm pistol will be considered for parole in February.
Todd Greene, 33, of Downing Street, got the long stretch in prison because of convictions for:
Armed robbery in Middlesex County in 1991 that earned him a seven year prison term.
Aggravated assault in Burlington County in 1993 for which he was sentenced to four years in prison.
Greene admitted going to Rivers' room at the Scottish Inn at Route 9 and North Lake Drive on Nov. 29, 1995, hitting the victim on the head with his pistol and robbing him. He was there with his cousin, Irwin F. Greene of Route 9, Lakewood, who got an eight-year prison term for his part in the robbery.
